Mix Tapes
Man I kinda miss making these. I can remember the days when I used to sit for hours making mix tapes – it’s an art form for real. You gotta listen to every song all the way through, which ensures that you are making the correct mix of songs. If anything got me close to being a DJ, making mix tapes was it.
And then I’d get all excited about taking a drive and listening to the mix tape in my car. Good stuff.
Now I can throw together a ton of MP3 files in about 5 seconds, and call it a day. Not that that’s all bad, hell – I’ve heard and own more music than I ever could imagine as a result. But sometimes when you’re forced to listen, you really L-I-S-T-E-N.
