Jeff Pevar at P&G’s
A bit late on this blog entry, but last Tuesday I had the opportunity to see Jeff Pevar at P&G’s on the Upper West Side. I’ve been a huge fan of Jeff since my early days of learning guitar, ever since I saw him play with Max Creek as a guest performer in Hartford back in the 90′s.
He was awesome then, and he’s awesome now. He joined the Jonny Rosch Band – Jonny has some great songs. If you get the chance head up to P&G’s on Tuesday nights, he’s doing residency there every week. Very cool original sound.
Ok so on top of it, I got to see this show for FREE, wow. I basically got to see one of the greatest American electric guitar players of ALL TIME, for free. It doesn’t get any better than that. They played Etta James, and Jeff took us through an acrobatic guitar solo to boggle our minds. If I recall correctly, a bit of Clapton/Cream action in that set too, and plenty more I can’t recall, but loved every second of.
So I will leave you with this, an unbelievable version of “Love Makes You Lose Your Mind” – a Max Creek song. This is from a show this past summer that Jeff and Scott Murawski do called “Guitarness”.
