The in Pencil lowdown – General Info
Hey all – Jason here… Having played music with Dan for many years, we decided it would be a good idea to write new music every week, from now until whenever, and post new songs for download on a regular basis. Dan’s in LA and I’m in Brooklyn, but we write a ton of new stuff together all the time.
We write songs about all kinds of thing — but we thought it would be pretty damned cool to write songs specifically about you as well. In order to do so, we want your song ideas — things that happened to you, things that happened to someone else, really, anything you think would make good song content. Think funny, rediculous, sad, ANYTHING. And hey, wouldn’t it be cool to have your own song written about you or someone you know? Go here to learn more. Yes this is real.
We’re not only musicians and songwriters, but huge fans of music as well. The in Pencil project isn’t just music we create, we’re interested in your thoughts as music fans as well, so join the discussion with whatever you want to contribute on the blog.
We give lots of music away for free. This site is full of high-quality MP3 downloads. We also enjoy seeing your creativity in action, so if there is a song you like, feel free to remix, edit, make music videos, pictures, whatever you want. Send it to us and we’ll post it.
