Foo Fighters + Special Guest Joan Jett at Madison Square Garden
Epic badassness occured at MSG Sunday night when the rest of the world was probably lying in bed preparing for the usual Monday stress test. That was all but forgotten when Grohl and the Foo lit up the night with a non-stop, kick-your-effin-ass 3 hour set. I managed to snap this iphone pic when Grohl came storming out into the crowd.
The new album came alive on stage, and having been a Foo fan since the beginning, I have to say I think it’s one of the best albums so far. The songs are even more hard hitting in concert…
But it wasn’t just the new album and the old favorites that the Foo broke out. The first cover was Pink Floyd’s “In The Flesh”.
Then came a rockin rendition of Tom Petty’s “Breakdown”. And to top the night off, none other than Joan Jett was invited on stage as a surprise guest.
ROCK AND ROLL IS ALIVE AND WELL!
